1st version of intro for title sequence

Rough version of title sequence intro//
> This is the basic version of my idea, I plan on redesigning the forest and hand rendering the type, but I think it Illustrates my idea of how I want the atmosphere and style of the video to look like//

StoryBoards

Storyboards//
>The first section of my storyboard for the title sequence. I'm still trying to figure out how, when and where I'm going to place my type for the sequence. But I do know that I'm going to use Gothic and Calligraphic typefaces.

Type as Image

Type as image - Drawing as Practice

We Get Older//
>This was inspired by handwriting by age, a child's, an adult's and an elderly person's. It is meant to visualise the progression of age//

Faces//
>With this poster I wanted to communicate reflection of faces using the word faces. I laser cut the letterforms out of black acrylic hoping that the glossy reflective surface would work, which it did. The typeface is Franklin Gothic Heavy, I experimented with Frutiger Black but it wasn't thick enough to act as a mirror. I had to redo the piece again after I spilt glue and ended up ripping the paper of the mounting board that the letter are stuck to but it worked out in my favour as I changed the composition and placed the type higher up on the board, making it easier for the viewer to see their reflection.

character designs

Silhouette Characters//
> I intend to use silhouette character throughout my video, I think it will be easier to control these than more intricate characters. I also like the feel of these characters, they fit nicely with the dark atmosphere that I want to create in my videos.

Crunch before editing from Danny on Vimeo.

My first animation on crunch, this version is pre-edit (the debris from the characters will be animated so that it all falls to make a pile of rubble)
